Michael Stengle

Owner

Michael began as a laborer in 1982 at a well-recognized commercial general contractor that generated 30-40 million dollars per year in revenue. Then within his first year he worked with experienced estimators and picked up the pricing aspect of construction quickly. After a few years he became Head Estimator, then promoted to Vice President of Estimating, and then was honored to receive the promotion to Vice President of Operations.  Michael started Sequoia General Contracting Corp. in 2003.
Michael is married to his wife Beverly, and they have two daughters, Christina (Tina) and Sarah.

Beverly helped Michael get Sequoia started in September 2003. Beverly has worked in many different roles since day one. She has handled bid documents, accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee benefits, insurance, profit and loss statements, created marketing materials, and kept all financial documentation for the business in order. Learning the construction business has been both challenging and interesting for her. 

 

Beverly is married to Michael Stengle and together they have two children: Christina and Sarah. Beverly enjoys scrapbooking, knitting and crocheting.

President

A graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Construction Management, Dave has been in the construction industry since 1994 and a member of the Sequoia team since March of 2004. As President, Dave oversees and assists the project managers with: incoming project opportunities, bidding schedule, outgoing proposals, current work in progress, superintendent scheduling, and project close outs. Dave and his wife Amy have two children.

Timothy Clark

Vice President

A graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Construction Management. Tim has been in the construction industry since 2002 and has been part of the Sequoia team since May 2011. Tim has held positions as estimator, purchasing agent, project engineer and project manager. Tim has a strong background in restaurant work.
 

Treasurer

Ruth started at Sequoia General Contracting Corp. as an Administrative Assistant in 2008.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Arkansas Tech University and has been working in the construction industry since 1986.
Ruth has one daughter, Sarah. When not working, Ruth enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

A graduate of University of Louisiana - Monroe with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Construction, David also completed the Associated General Contractors Advanced Management Program in 1989. David has been in the construction industry since 1975 and has been part of the Sequoia team since March of 2007.
